I've been sewing since I was 7, taught by my mother. Made my first quilt in 1979 pieced by hand. I've been an improving quilter ever since using multiple techniques. I typically machine piece, hand applique, and both hand and machine quilt. I recently purchased a longarm and now can finish those piled up quilt tops, although I still insist on a hand finished binding!
