I live in Midcoast Maine and watched my Mom quilt, piecing by hand on our large dining room table. She used a treble sewing machine and hand stitched, tied her quilts. I just started at the young age of 61, having completed two; 1 crib quilt for my new great grandson and a toddler quilt for our great granddaughter. I am learning but from the beginning, creating with my own binding I'm rather happy to say. I am starting with smaller projects. I have a Janome HD that has served me well for years as I have been making custom pennant buntings for SOTF Sisters n vintage camping friends for years (along with nursery, man caves, business show booths etc). Now I want to do something different n the thought process that goes into quilting has captured my creative heart.
