I grew up in Tennessee, met my husband at age14, engaged at age 18, and married at 19. He had joined the Army, so 3 months after our wedding, we were whisked off to Alaska. We left Alaska with 2 kiddos and one on the way, heading to Virginia. The Army took us to Alabama ( flight school),Texas, Italy, then Arizona for a total of 30 years!! Of course my husband was privileged to see Korea, Panama, Turkey, Afghanistan on unaccompanied tours, and most of Europe(as a pilot). I kept up with the kiddos and home in his absence. I had picked up sewing in high school, but didn't get into quilting till we took in my mother, who suffers from dementia for the past 6 years. Since being homebound, I got into quilting and fell in love with it. I have only had my Q'nique 16x for a few months and I use it on my cutie frame. It is a challenging and forgiving hobby, as quilting is as unique as the individual who creates it. Thanks for viewing my page.
