I made my first quilt in 1976. It was a red white and blue log cabin. The first two square in the block were made from a very wild pair of pant I had. I didn’t realize at the time what quilting actually was. I sewed a backing on RST turn it out folded the top down and called it done. I used that quilt for many years and still have it. The second quilt I made was candlewicked tulips again I sewed the back on RST turned out folded top down and tied it together. I didn’t make another quilt until the late 1980’s. Those quilts were hand quilted and had binding!
